Microsoft Teams app review
There are quite a lot of features brought by this app to the table. For first, it allows the users to schedule meetings with others in the form of audio or video format. The administrator can arrange huge meetings and webinars with up to 10,000 joined participants. It enables full integration with Microsoft office 365 too. Therefore, the invitation and schedule can be shared conveniently and amongst the invitees, while non-users are able to join the meetings via internet browser. It also has expected features from video conferencing providers, such as chat function, call recording, screen sharing, live captions, and background adjusting technology.
That doesn’t mean the app doesn’t have downsides to it. For users who aren’t familiar with Microsoft software, they might find the settings and interface quite overwhelming at first. It is simply because there are so many built-in features, third party options, and integrated applications within the platform. Therefore, consider yourself have to spend some time learning about it if you aren’t an avid user of Microsoft products. Worry not though, as it offers a wide range of support options and lines of customer service, such as setup guides and interactive training videos. In terms of overall performance, Microsoft Teams for Android can be considered as extremely reliable. Lastly, it should also be noted that this app doesn’t come up as standalone product, but instead offered in package within the business and enterprise plans of Microsoft Office 365. The pricing starts at $5.00/feature/month, but there is a free trial version and free version as well.
Pros:
- It has full integration with Microsoft Office 365.
- It offers advanced technology in data protection and user security.
Cons:
- It can be difficult to navigate at first for non-Microsoft users.
When the mobile app is first launched, it presents a sign-in page where you may opt to log into your account. However, if you have already logged in into your Microsoft Office 365 account in other apps, like Microsoft Outlook, within your Android mobile device then you will be automatically logged in.
To navigate various features within the app, you have to use the App bar, where it contains different icons of wide range of functions. The list of your team members is shown at the top of App bar. To arrange tasks and conversation of certain projects or topics, go to the Channel section. You may also switch between different teams by using tabs feature.
